Cameron Causey Obituary

Cameron Allan Causey was born April 29, 1999, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Kenneth and Donna Causey. Cameron was reared in the word of God and confessed his personal faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 9. From an early age, Cameron was an active member of the New Life Community Church Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Church Plays, and Youth Group. Cameron was passionate about the word of God and read through the entire bible multiple times. Cameron was also a sports enthusiast; he played football, basketball, and soccer at Lakeside Middle School where he was an Honor Student all three years. Cameron also played the trumpet and earned three gold medals at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) as a trumpet soloist.

Cameron graduated from North Side High in 2017. While at North Side, Cameron played freshman football and basketball; he also played three years of varsity tennis for the Legends. Cameron played the trumpet in the North Side concert band. After graduation, Cameron briefly attending Ivy Tech, after which he was employed by Tom Kelly Buick as a car port. He later worked for Delta Airlines as a ramp agent.

Cameron was an avid Lakers fan and a very talented and cerebral chess player. He enjoyed watching movie series; his favorites were Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. Cameron also loved our family vacations to Disney World; although we went there eight times, Cameron treasured each trip as though it was his first. He loved spending time with his family and was particularly proud of his sister, Kara’s acting performances at Purdue Fort Wayne. Cameron was a kind and compassionate young man, who had a smile that lit up the room. Cameron will be missed by all who loved him.

Cameron is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Donna Causey, his sister, Kara Causey, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cameron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oakley and Nezzie Causey; and his maternal grandparents, Harry and Nellie Keel.
