Bobby Jean “Barbara” Woodson was born August 10, 1939 in Bethpage, TN to the late Mable Woodson-Carter. At the age of 81, Barbara accepted the Lords call to eternal rest and passed away peacefully on Monday October 5, 2020 at Parkview North hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.
Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Durham Chapel Baptist Church in Bethpage, TN. As an adult, she joined Progressive Baptist Church and rededicated her life to Christ.
Barbara transitioned to Fort Wayne as a teenager and attended Central High School. She served as a dedicated Nutrition Specialist for 35 years and retired from Lutheran Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing Bingo.
Barbara was a loving mother and leaves to cherish her memory, Patricia (Greg) Smith, Bruce and Kimberly (Victor Gray) Woodson all of Fort Wayne, IN. Valrese Wallace of Memphis, TN, Antoinette Reese of Bloomingdale, IL, Lloyd (Danielle) Moore of Atlanta, GA, Jackie Moore of Fort Wayne, IN, Gena Moore of Lansing, MI, 25 grandchildren, 40 great- grandchildren, two special cousins, Andrane Walters-Jones and Janice Wright, special friends; Deidre “Susie” Woods, Joyce (Ed) James, Barbara Hudson and Anita Macon.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her Mother Mable Woodson-Carter, daughter Bonita Woodson, son Kelvin Moore, Granddaughter Yolanda Moore, and a special companion Lloyd “Micky” Moore.
