Beverly Hall Obituary

Beverly “Joyce” Hall was born May 3, 1962, in Dundee, MS to the Late Reuben Hall and Daisie Bolden Hall. God called her home on January 9, 2024, at the age of 61. She was the 7th of 8 children and the baby girl. Joyce moved to Fort Wayne at a young age and later attended Southside High School. She was raised in holiness at Grace Temple Church of God and Christ and valued the word of God.

She adored spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were always greeted with a hug and kiss. She showered love on her family every chance she got. Joyce added “family members” all the time and if you were friends of her loved ones, then you were family to her.

Her mother meant everything to her, and they shared a lot of time together discussing scriptures and reminiscing about life. Joyce moved purposefully through life, leaving behind love and admiration. All time spent with Joyce was precious, because she made you smile, and the sound of her laugh was contagious. Every event she attended, she made sure to speak to everyone and was not afraid to let her children know when she was ready to go home.

Joyce was loved by her soulmate, Johnny Ruff. Johnny and Joyce were together for 22 years and shared genuine concern and longing for each other despite health ailments. With her family and soulmate by her side, Joyce transitioned into God’s arms. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Her smile, laughter, and presence will always be cherished by the love of her life, Johnny Ruff; Her children, Al “Dinky” (Tia) Hall, Tiffany (Hachim) Hall, Melanie Hall-Webster, Keith (Chevilla) Hall, all of Fort Wayne. Her 11 grandchildren; Omolola, Hachim Jr., Emoni, Zahara, Kelvin “KJ”, Keith Jr., Kaiden, Tamira, Ranya, Taelar, and Evelyn. Her sisters, Patricia (Roy) McGown, Linda “Diane” (Tyrone) Weaver, and Carolyn Hall-Wilson of Fort Wayne, Her brother, Gregory “Charles” Hall also of Fort Wayne.
