Archie F. Johnson

Archie Ferguson Johnson was born in Burlison, Tennessee on April 2, 1937 to the union of the late Roy and Rosebud (Alston) Johnson. He was the sixth of nine children born. He left this world on Monday, June 12, 2023 and went home to be with the Lord.

He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Fort Wayne, IN. He attended Central High School also located in Fort Wayne. He retired from Navistar/International Harvester after 30+ years of service. He loved fishing as well as hunting large and small game. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed football, basketball, and boxing. In addition, he also loved motorcycle riding, gardening, and landscaping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rosebud Johnson; sisters, Willie Earl Johnson and Rosebud (Johnson) Ellis; brothers, Clarence Johnson, Rozzell Johnson, and Eddie Johnson; and grandson David Robinson. Cherished memories remain with those who loved him, including his children Autry Johnson, Deron Sanders, Jovon (Carlyn) Johnson, Cassandra Robinson, Calvin (Tawnyelle) Mason, and Sedric Williams; sisters, Gwendolyn Brooks and Beatrice Johnson-Mitchell; brother, Leroy Johnson; grandchildren, Jade Guerra, Miranda (Jared) Anderson, Julius Johnson, Breanna Johnson, Brendan Johnson, Danielle Boddie, Andrea Goubeaux, Dominique Robinson, Casjuan Mason, Cavasia Mason, Cali Mason, Calvin Mason Jr., Chandler Williams, Summondrick Williams, Summari Williams, Sednyah Williams, Summeir Williams, and Zadrick Williams; great-grandchildren, Jayden Collins, Jared Anderson Jr., Jeremiah Anderson, Elijah Anderson, Daylen Jones, Dominique Martin, Dejuan Martin, Daniel Martin, Jude Goubeaux, Nova Goubeaux, LaDavion Robinson, Dez’reon Robinson, A’Dareious Robinson, Kayson Robinson, and Caiden Hines. He was also loved by many other relatives and friends.
