Angela Johnson Obituary

Angela Marie Johnson, 58, passed peacefully into eternity on Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was born on March 21, 1963, in South Bend, IN, the daughter of the late Brady Clark Sr. and Lillian (Gray) Clark.

Angie as she was commonly called, joined The Spiritual Israel Church and It’s Army at an early age. She developed a passion for helping others which carried over into the church. Where she served as the secretary, sang in the choir,  ran the YOP bingo hall, and also helped with many youth fundraising activities.

Angie graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1981. She attended Tri-State University in Angola, IN. She later received a business certificate from International Business College. Angie met her soul-mate, her favorite bass player, Calvin Johnson in Fort Wayne, IN. The two were joined in marriage on December 14, 1985. They were married until he preceded her in death in April of 2020.

Angie entered into the medical field working as a receptionist working for various medical offices. In 2003 she established her own medical billing company, Dun-Rite Medical Billing. Angie had a loving spirit and a caring heart as she would help others whenever in need. She cared for her 3 nieces and nephew as her own.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Cicely (Michael) McCowan, Shacora (Thea) Johnson, and Jealesia Johnson. One bonus daughter I’honess (Emmanuel) Chapman. One sister Brenda (Rod) Ulis of Indianapolis, IN. One brother Brady Clark Jr. of South Bend, IN. Four sisters-in-law, Joyce Johnson, Remona (James) Gates, and Janace Johnson, all of Fort Wayne, IN, Patricia (Lee) Brooks-Parker of Madison, AL. Ten grandchildren and four godchildren, Shamika Ikponmwosa, Moe Easley Jr, Breauna Walker, and De Marco Cannon. And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her late husband of 34 years, Calvin Johnson, parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and two sisters Martha Clark and Lilly Mae Rogers.
