Angela Denise Harris

Angela Denise Harris, 62, affectionately known as Niecy, was born in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, October 18, 1958, to the union of Norman Harris, Sr. and the late Mary Ann Harris. To this union, there were two children Angela (Niecy), and Norman Harris, Jr.

Niecy received her education in Los Angeles, and Inglewood, California School Systems. Niecy shared 34 years with her High School Sweetheart Timmy Johnson. Timmy and Niecy were proud parents of six children. Those who knew her well can attest how loving and fond she was of her children.

Niecy and her family relocated in 1993 to Fort Wayne, Indiana setting roots in a new environment. She remained in Fort Wayne, Indiana for 18 years. In 2011 Niecy returned to Los Angeles to take care of her mother, who gained her wings August 2020.

Upon her return to Los Angeles, Niecy joined Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, under the spiritual guidance of Dr. Ticey M. Brown. Niecy loved her church and was a devout member of Mount Tabor MBC.  

Niecy could light-up a room wherever she entered. Her personality could attract anyone. Her sense of humor was enjoyable, her smile was infectious, her voice was a blessing to all who had a chance to hear her sing. Some of her favorite past-times included: Karaoke and shopping. She absolutely loved to sing! Niecy was a trend-setter; her love for fashion, glamor, and color could be noticed anywhere.

She lived her life filled with the joy of her children; Deondre Johnson, Tanisha Johnson, Jason Johnson, Chanel Johnson, Randy Harris, and Brandon Harris, 36 Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Each held a special place in her heart.

Niecy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Harris, and Grandson Branden Green.  

Niecy leaves to mourn her memory, her father; Norman Harris, Sr. (Emelinda), 6 children; Deondre, Tanisha, Jason, Chanel, Randy, and Brandon, 36 Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Grandchildren, 11 siblings, and host of relatives and friends.
