Remembering Anderson ‘Andy’
Anderson Retic Chinn was born on March 3, 2001 at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Indiana to Brenda Retic and Renaldo Chinn III. He later relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana. There he attended Memorial Park Middle School and South Side High School.
Anderson was known to family and friends as ‘Andy.’ Andy was a beautiful child, with a loving heart & gentle spirit. He grew up to be a handsome young man. He loved his parents and had a special bond with is mom. Andy resembled his dad (though much taller). There was a twinkle in his eyes when he smiled. Even as a baby, whenever his grandparents came to get him his eyes would light up. He was a jokester with a contagious laugh and his smile would light up a room and melt everyone’s heart. He loved to hug, was kind hearted and eager to help.
Andy dearly loved his family and was very close to all of his siblings and cousins. He looked forward to his annual trips to Indianapolis, where he went every summer to spend time with his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Andy had a competitive spirit when it came to playing basketball and football. He played basketball at City Life after school and during the summers. He was a gamer who enjoyed playing the Xbox and PlayStation.
Andy was a proud and dedicated father who adored his children and cherished every moment with them. His legacy will live on through his children. He will be missed but will never be forgotten.
Andy will be forever remembered and loved by his parents, Brenda Retic and Renaldo Chinn III; his children, Qu’Mere Retic-Pirtle, A’lonna Retic and unborn child; grandmothers, Carsteen Retic and Shirley Spinks; grandfather, Willie Spinks; brothers, Monta Clark, Eric Swope Jr. and Keionni Culpepper; sister, Carsteenia Retic; his nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of other relatives and many friends.
