William Anthony Davis, best known as “Cookie” was born November 24, 1953 in Camden, New Jersey. He departed this life on June 29, 2019 in the presence of his loved ones. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving, devoted wife and soulmate of twenty-eight years, Barbara Davis, his daughters; Jennifer Alexander, Jessicah (James) Vargas, Sairrah (Jason) Wicker, and Tamera Miller. A host of grandkids and great-grandkids and two of his grandsons that he shared a special relationship with whom he affectionately called #1 (Kai) and #2 (Justin). Cookie is survived by his siblings, a special sister; Bertha Davis, Angelo Davis, Anthony Davis, Irvin (Leona) Davis, Roberta Johnson and Tina Davis, his loving in-laws; Cleo Prince, Phillip Prince, Michael (Cordae) Prince, Bobby Prince, special sister-in-law; Maryann (Wayne) Walker, Joanne Harris, Diana (Theo) Gay, Yolanda Smith, Shalanda (Shon) Little, and Ella Smith, close family friend; Jerry “BJ” Reynolds. Cookie was preceded in death by is parents, Will Davis and Thelma Davis, brothers; Robert and James Davis, brothers-in-law; Floyd, Kenneth, and Robert Prince, and a very special friend; Gary “Bum” Griffin. Cookie was an owner/operator for over thirty-five years and he also worked in demolition as a lead foreman. In his spare time, he loved to spend time with his loving wife watching the history channel, Sci-fi and horror shows. He loved to spend time with his daughters and grandkids. His favorite past time was cutting the grass on his riding mower and working on cars. He will truly be missed and leaves a big void in our lives. He will never be forgotten; and his memory will be carried on forever.
