Nancy Jackson-Skinner was born on January 24, 1912 to the union of the late Julius and Nancy Rainey-Jackson in Greenville, Mississippi. She was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019. She was the last living of her eleven siblings. Nancy was baptized at an early age. She was always a faithful and obedient servant of the Lord. She taught Sunday school classes for more than fifty years. She also played the piano at her church; was very active on the Mother Board and Pastor’s Aid. She felt it was her Godly duty to always check on members of her church as well as the sick and shut in. Nancy was also an Eastern Star. Nancy was married to Melvin Skinner for 40 years until his death. To this union there were no children; but there was always love. Nancy loved to travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana on the train to visit her sisters and brothers and nephews and nieces.
Nancy leaves to cherish her memory several nephews, nieces, along with other relatives, loved ones and friends. Service will be Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Nelson Memorial Gardens, Inc. at 12:00 noon with calling one hour prior.
Everyone loved Aunt Nancy. She was a true matriarch that will be forever missed; yet never forgotten. The Family
