James Ronald McKinley was born the eldest child of Alice Clear and James R. McKinley, Sr. on November 15, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.Ron served in the United States Army and was a truck driver for various trucking companies in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Dayton, Ohio for many years. Ron accepted Christ and was a faithful guitarist who loved to play for the Lord. He was known for his musical talents as he has played with numerous groups and at many gospel functions and churches all over Fort Wayne, Indiana and other cities. He was a long-time member of the Daytonians. Ron was a loved and faithful member of Kingdom Door Christian Worship Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ron leaves to cherish his memory to his loving wife, Edie “Tina” McKinley of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his sons Derrick (Angela) Causey, Christopher Woods, Marcus Eley, Aaron O’Quinn, and Kennieth Eley; all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his daughters; Shirley Holman, Michelle Lee, and Latrice (Eric) Johnson, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his sisters; Carla Tinker, Kim Marshall-Coleman of Dayton, Ohio, Yolanda Curry of St. Paul, Minnesota, Tonya Moore of Dayton, Ohio, and Andrea Reed of Toledo, Ohio, his nephews; Lashawn McKinley and Vincent Tinker, his niece, Jaynee Mitchell; sisters-in-law; Janet Striverson and Gloria Carswell, brother-in-law; Robert (Carlette) Striverson, lifelong friends; Jake Rogers of Texas and Leroy Powell of Tennessee.
