Gregory Tyrone Lawrence

Gregory T. Lawrence was born January 10, 1961 to mother and stepfather Jearlene Warren and Clark Warren and his father Leroy Johnson in Matthew, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Gregory accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Progressive Baptist Church. Gregory attended Wayne High School and later received his GED. He was employed at Parkview Hospital and TI Automotive for a number of years until his health started to fail. He loved his family as well as his children. Gregory was a fan of baseball, basketball and was a big New York Giants football fan. Gregory leaves to cherish his loving memory to his sons, Gregory (Lashay) Clay, Corey Collins, Cameron Collins, and Tyrone Lawrence, his daughters; Myleka Reed, Yolanda Briggs, and Aries Parker, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, his brothers; Clifford (Diane) Davis, Raymond Warren, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Darron Woods, Sean Woods, Cullen Warren, Andre (Marshaun C.) Warren all of St. Louis, Missouri, Marcus Johnson of California, and Nygel Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana, his sisters; Charlotte Warren, Zitia Warren, Vera Warren, Angela King, Sheila Murdock, Gwendolyn (Carl) Woods, Ladonna Johnson, Lavonda Johnson, Maria Johnson, Cheryl Tinker, Bonnie (Goldie) Totten, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Audrey Reynolds of Texas, fifteen grandchildren, special friends; Amber Edwards and Aretha Brown, special uncle; Frank Warren, and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Gregory was preceded in death by his mother; Jearlene Warren, his sister, Zenita Warren, and a niece; Sarlaji Warren.

Service is Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Come As You Are Community Church, 7910 South Anthony Blvd., at 3:00 P.M. with calling one hour prior. Care entrusted to Nelson memorial Gardens, Inc.
