Charles Edward Washington

Charles Edward Washington,80, was born Tuesday, April 11, 1939  in Fayette Mississippi to Jack Washington and Irene Foster. He departed this life Saturday, August 10, 2019 at his home.

Charles was an employee of The City of Fort Wayne for 37 years retiring in 2014. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of Foreign Wars of the United States. Charles was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post 148 of Fort Wayne Indiana. Charles loved his family and was very proud of his grandchildren.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his sons; Marcus (Dorothy) Hairston, and Maurice Hairston of Fort Wayne Indiana.Charles Washington and Lew Washington of Toledo Ohio, grandchildren; Keion Hairston, Ronald Lucas, lll, and Marcalin Hairston of Fort Wayne Indiana, Charity (Jaron) of Texas, Christin, Miracle, and Chardae’ of Toledo Ohio, Taylour, Charles, Jr.,  and Sophia of Kansas City. 
Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Washington and Irene Foster, and a brother; George Foster-Williams.
