Carla June Bass

Carla J. Bass, 63 of Niles, Michigan died Friday, April 19,
2019. She was born on June 20, 1955 in Truman, Arkansas and
was preceded in death by her mother Irmalene (Bass) Prowell,
brother J. W. Bass, and sister Doris (Angel) Prowell.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Richard LeDale
Bass & Quincy Gene (Teresa) Bass both of Fort Wayne, IN and
Roger Whittaker "James" Bass of South Bend, IN as well as
brothers James B. (Diane) Bass of Niles, MI & Stoney Prowell
of Grand Rapids, MI; and sisters Annie Bass (Nathaniel)
Woods of Los Angeles, CA, Jo Matrisha Prowell (Will) Bates
of South Bend, IN, Jolena Prowell of Benton Harbor, MI; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family
members and friends.
Carla was a carefree person full of love and laughter. As the
second oldest daughter she took a lead role in helping to raise
her younger sisters and brothers after her mother’s death. Carla
will be greatly missed.
