Victor had his calling into the field of funeral services after surviving a near fatal injury during his military career. After much research and speaking with others in the field, he began his schooling.

His education consisted of 18 months of chemistry, biology, accounting, principles of embalming and anatomy. After completion of the National Board Exam and an internship at Hippensteel Funeral Home in Layfayette, Indiana. Victor then acquired his state license and began working at the chief embalmer/embalming supervisor as Hippensteel Funeral Home.

After the opportunity presented itself for continuing the legacy of the Micheaux Funeral home by Micheaux’s daughter in 2007 he began renovations on what is now the New Nelson Memorial Gardens, Inc.

Victor has many goals to bring the business and community
together and enriching lives both young and old.
